Rhythmic Movement Training (RMT)

Primary or infant reflex patterns help to begin the process of developing the visual, auditory, motor, vestibular, tactile and proprioceptor senses important to everyday skills we need throughout life. The reflexes are naturally integrated through movement and stimulation and this developmental process is normally completed by the time a child reaches 4 years of age

If reflexes remain fully or partially retained (i.e. un-integrated or immature) various physical, learning, emotional, behavioural and/or cognitive challenges may be seen at home or educationally in school.

As a trained RMT Provider, we will devise (when needed) an individualised programme of Rhythmic Movement exercises as part of a child’s Occupational Therapy intervention, to integrate or re-integrate particular reflexes
