Specialist Interventions

The MOVE Programme is designed for anyone who has not leant to sit, stand or walk by the normal developmental age, or has lost these core skills through illness (including strokes), inactivity or accident.

The MOVE Programme aims to develop the skills essential to independence within the home, school and community, by teaching a severely disabled child (or adult) the skills of sitting, standing, walking and transferring within the context of meaningful, everyday activities.

As MOVE-trained practitioners we work with the child and their family, as well as all of those working with and supporting the child, to plan goals to meet their individual needs and to devise a therapy-based plan that will enable them to reach their full potential.
